About the Club
Long Buckby Hockey Club is a long standing club with a lengthy history. The Club currently has two ladies, two men’s, one mixed, one badgers (boys and girls development) and several junior teams.
The Club have two teams competing in the Mixed Summer Leagues organised by the Northamptonshire Mixed Hockey League. There are two teams, one playing in Pool A, a more competitive league and one in Pool B, a friendly but still competitive league.
Fixtures run for 10 weeks from early May until the middle of July on weekday evenings at Moulton College.

Long Buckby Hockey Club run junior training on Sunday mornings from 10:00 – 11.30am on the Astroturf at Crick Sports Field, Yelvertoft Road, Crick, Northamptonshire, NN6 7TF. Our season runs from September to May.
Aimed at ages 7-13 years old. All abilities are welcome, the children are trained in age and ability groups so that they can learn skills and progress at a level most suited to them.
All children will be given the opportunity to play in age related games as we regularly attend the Northamptonshire U8’s, U10’s U12’ and U14’s tournaments.
If you don’t have a stick, don’t worry. The club has plenty of equipment available to borrow – just come along in sports clothing.
Junior Fees – Annual subs for the junior section are just £15 and training cost are £3 per session.
Please note, some weekends there will be no training (eg. half term/tournaments). Please contact our junior co-ordinator Amanda via email firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more and to confirm that training , on if you are bringing a new player.
Hockey Heroes is a fun and welcoming programme aimed at children aged 5-8 that aims to develop both their physical and character ‘superpowers’, unlocking the hero inside them!
We are currently awaiting further details before announcing our next programme due to COVID restrictions and pitch availability.
